IHSW late report

Well I decided to sign up for IHSW and I was really looking forward to hermitting. I had decided that the World outside could not exist for me for a couple of days and give myself some time to recharge my batteries.

So I settled in to do a couple of days stitching. However none of my current projects appealed to me as they all have a certain amount of pressure attached to them. I decided that for this weekend I would treat myself with a smallish project, trying not to start another big project but give myself a break from my current WIP's

Here is what I decided on:

I absolutely love blossom trees, I always have and dream of having them in my own garden one day. This piece is from The Ultimate Forest Friends Cross Stitch Collection I managed to get my hands on a few months ago.

Alas even this did not cure my lack of stitching bug and I only managed a small amount on it over the whole weekend. After a little while I just had to give up on the idea of stitching and decided to read my book instead.

So here is my unsuccessful IHSW:

Blossoming Spring - The Ultimate Forest Friends Collection - Sheila Hudson
I also have absolutely no progress on Autumn this month, which is why there hasn't been a post on it. I will do my best to get an update on Autumn next month.

  2. It's good you recognize that you're not in the mood to stitch. If you force it you'll lose all the fun. It'll come back :)

  3. What a lovely design. I'm sure you'll get your stitching energy back. Sometimes everyone just needs a break.

  6. It's the pits when your stitchy bug leaves home, isn't it? Hopefully it'll be back soon. That is a gorgeous new start as well.

  7. The blossom tree is absolutely gorgeous so your stitchy-bug must be really missing if you did not even want to stitch that. I hope the bug returns soon. :)

I do hope your stitching bug will come back. Better have a break in the meantime.
