As I mentioned in my previous post I have been stitching on the bus lately because I have been taking 1.5hr long journeys 6 times a week. I have noticed that when I do stitch people stare at me a little strangely.
Some will look at what I am doing and seem a little interested in it, however others just stare at me like I am a little crazy.
Does anyone else stitch in public and if so do people stare?
I have stitched in public before and it brought a few stares. I had a day filled with going to various doctor's appointments and I brought along the project I was working on to stitch while I waited. Most people just looked and then looked away, but I actually struck up a conversation with one of my doctors about it. He mentioned how his mother used to stitch, but he hadn't seen anyone (especially a 20-something) do that since he was a young boy. In general, I was so busy with my project that I didn't really notice if anyone looked at me like I was crazy!
ReplyDeleteAfter a little while I too just get lost in what I am doing and don't notice if people are staring. I too think that it could be because I am in my twenties that people are especially interested.
