Progress update no 3 - A little bit on Clara
Well the other night I wanted block colour, and to stop myself from starting something new I decided to to some of the colouring in on QS Clara's hat.
I also made a start on the HAED BB SAL which is one of the things I am working on this year. I decided to go with QS Literate Dragon and I have done 2 blocks of 100 stitches so far and all I can say is that it is a confetti fueled nightmare. I thought JBG eyes were bad for confetti. The books behind the dragon are completely confetti. I just counted in one 10x10 block there are 27 different colours. I'm not sure if I am in the mood for this level of confetti at the moment so I may have to put it down and come back to it a little later.

If it makes you feel any better Mystic Garden is the same! I did 100 stitches no problem then yesterday in the next I had a frog attack :( This is going to take me forever!
ReplyDeleteI have managed to get 400 done on dragon. It s seems a little better now that I have kinda gotten into a rhythm. I always hate starting confetti areas but once I get a couple of blocks done it usually feels a little easier. Looking forward to seeing your mystic progress.

ReplyDeleteI absolutely agree Sharine. It looks amazing when it all comes together but the getting there can be super hard work. Hope you're getting on well with Fairy Tales.

ReplyDeleteI'm not as great at confetti as a lot of people seem to be, I don't mind it, but I find it a bit slow!

ReplyDeleteOh I hear you on the confetti. I've dropped out of the SAL after much deliberation. I kept looking at the first page of Mystic Garde and couldn't face all the confetti!
Oh Sally that is a shame but I was nearly there with you. A couple of times I thought to myself there was just too much confetti and that would drive me crazy. I thought about giving it up, will try to stick it out and see if it gets easier.
