Not stitching but still crafting

I am making a dress for a very special event which is coming up soon. I am making it using a deep purple satin. I don't use real silk satin for my own reasons so this is a synthetic acetate satin.

Here is the pattern for the dress: http://www.simplicity.com/p-7447-misses-dresses.aspx I really love how this looks. I am doing the short version without the floral detail on the shoulder.

I have managed to get the front of it done. This is made up of 11 different panels but I think it looks so unusual.

I'm sorry the picture is terrible and doesn't show the colour correctly at all. I will try getting a better one when I have the back done.

  2. Oh my! Beautiful pattern. Admire you for sewing with satin. Always slides out of the machine and difficult to keep seams straight. You doing a wonderful job!
