I wasn't up for working on a large project yesterday so I decided a new start was just the thing. As I finished off my Joan Elliott I am allowed to start a new mini. I had one in mind that I had planned to start after my JE was done. However I started looking through my patterns and, as I'm sure you can all relate to, other patterns started clammering for attention. I decided though, that I would stick with my first choice, so I got my floss together and had a look through my supply of hand dyed fabrics, which I am rapidly becoming hooked on.
Then I managed to settle down for the evening and worked away on this little guy:

Owliver - Just Cross Stitch Feb 2014 |
He is stitched on a piece of 28ct hand dyed evenweave I got on EBay a good long while ago. It is a beige/light brown colour. The pattern is the Owliver bookmark from the Feb 2014 issue of Just Cross Stitch by Sharon Pope. I plan to do both the bookmark and the larger Tote Bag piece. I just love this cute little guy and he is a very quick stitch. This is my first project from the Just Cross Stitch magazine and I am loving it.
