I was asked in a comment what the recipe for the Christmas Spirit drink I mentioned in my last post was. Unfortunately the recipe is from a book and I can't post it here, copyright and all that. But I decided to have a look online and see if I could find something similar. This is what I came up with:

This one doesn't use cinnamon but I'm sure you could just pop a couple of cinnamon sticks in there with the rest of the ingredients. This recipe says to leave the vodka for 2 weeks, I leave mine for four with the rest of the ingredients and then just give it to people but I like the idea they have here of leaving it a few weeks after straining before drinking. Might try that next time.
Also to make things easier on myself I strain the lot through a sieve squeezing out the cranberries with a spoon in the sieve, then I use a muslin lined funnel to decant it into the bottles. I find you waste less this way but putting it through the muslin makes it nice and sediment free.
Then just pop your drink into a nice decorative bottle and you are ready to go. I always sterilize the bottle first. I hope people find this helpful.
Sounds yummy, last year I made skittles vodka, it was delicious but my word I paid for it the next day!
