Stitch From Stash update March

It's Stitch from Stash time again being held by Mel over at Epic Stitching. I am so happy that I joined in with this, as it has helped to really slash my spending. I have therefore managed another $0 spend month, so Yippee.

Here is how I did:

Amount Spent: $0
New Starts from Stash: None
WIPs or UFOs worked on: Dimensions Gold Majestic Peacock & HAED Autumn.
Some piccies:
HAED - Autumn

Dimensions Gold - Majestic Peacock
I didn't do as well as I did last month, which was a month full of mini finishes but I am close on finishing up Majestic Peacock so I am delighted with that. I hope everyone had a successful SFS and I look forward to seeing how you guys got on :)

I have been feeling super happy with that fact that I have been using things in my stash and working on projects that have been sitting idle for a long time. So much so that it has spread into my other past times. I started a knitted cardigan, in a previous post, with yarn and a pattern I have had for years! I have stopped buying books on top of books and am trying to get around to reading what I have. I have also stopped buying other craft materials including magazines. I am hoping to get some dressmaking done using some fabric and patterns I have at home and I am planning a large craft clear out at some point.

  1. Great progress on Peacock and Autumn. You took the words right out of my mouth about this stash budgeting and finding it has spilled into other parts of life. I've stopped buying more books until I can read through all the ones I have. Congrats for keeping to the budget! Me, not so good!

  6. Congratulations on your 0 spending month. I've done the same as you, really started looking at what I have available for all my craft projects. I will say I have not stopped buying books, but I have put myself on a budget for those.

    Peacock is looking great.

  12. Wow you're amazing. Nil spend that's just incredible in itself. Good luck with finishing Majestic Peacock. It's stunning, and you know how much I love Autumn.

I love that you are extrapolating this to other areas of your life. It's a philosophy I may have to look into it. LOL!
