March YOTA time

Well it's YOTA time again. I have managed to get a good bit done on my project this month. However as some of my readers know I ran out of the brown thread used for most of the back stitching on this one. I had planned to just continue on with the rest of the back stitching while waiting for replacement thread but knowing I won't finish it I haven't felt like doing any more on it.

Last month:

This month:

Here are a couple of close ups of some of the back stitch detail.

  2. Majestic Peacock is looking fantastic! I love the way the backstitching really gives it depth, especially round the archway you have stitched this month. Keep going. Not long until the finish now!

I use Black Thread - DMC #310 for all of my back stitching..it makes everything stand out more.

  12. The backstitching really makes this piece - frustrating to run out of thread when you were on such a roll with it.

  13. Your back stitching is fantastically neat and precise. I wish mine looked like that. Not sure if you enjoy it (I surely don't) but you have to admit it really brings out the detail. Stunning! I hope the rest of your thread arrives soon, this is screaming to be finished.
