On a Roll

I have something else new to share  with you all. Firstly I would like to thank everyone who left such sweet comments on my last post. They all made me feel so wonderful about my first attempt at a mini pillow. I would also like to thank everyone who gave me advise on how to improve my mini pillows.

Anyway here is today's new thing. I found these sweet little ornaments on Pinterest and fell in love with them. I have been wanting to give them a go for a long while now and finally decided to do it. So here you are:

Isn't it super sweet?!? Unfortunately you can't see the fabric I used for the belly in this picture but it is a lovely dark blue patterned fabric. In case anyone is interested in making one themselves Here is the pattern. I hope to make some more of these little guys as I just love this one, though next time I think I will make him a bit bigger. This one the pattern printed wrong and so it is quite small.

Mii thanks so much for the suggestion of using a ladder stitch. I checked it out on YouTube and used it on this project. It is completely invisible, which is wonderful.

  8. Great little birdie! Your finishing is so neat. I looked up the ladder stitch too and it is definitely worth a go next time I make an ornie.

I also have the same tin as you. Mine was a cover gift with a mag and has a magnet inside, so very useful for keeping needles of different sizes and counting pins to hand.
