Lately I have been trying to experiment with new things. I look at Pinterest quite a lot and have a good number of craft projects of many types pinned. They are all things I would love to try but I often feel intimidated and so put them off. I have been doing my best to try some of these pinned projects.
Where is all this going, you may ask? Well I saw this really cute little air dry clay bowl and pinned it, as I do, to try later. Well over the weekend I decided I would give it a go as a birthday present.
Here is the result so far:
When I was putting it into a bowl to shape it, I had to push it far down in order to get the bottom flat, as I did so the edges started to curl in and I though it looked lovely so I shaped it as you see above.
Here is the inside decoration:
This is taking a while to dry out, approx 60hrs so far, but I think that is due to the thickness of the clay. Once it is dry I need to sand the rim and also smooth out some of the wrinkle in the clay due to the shaping. I then want to glaze it, I think there is a glaze available.
I would love to hear your thoughts on this piece, do you like it? Do you hate it? Leave me a comment and let me know, if you have the time.
I really like it,because it is very attractive,it looks like a flower and is unique.looking forward to seeing it glazed.
