When I was young my Grandmother taught me how to latch hook. She had made a couple of rugs and I really wanted to learn. Unfortunately at that time there was no such thing as a kit really available where I lived so I just practised on scraps. Years later I came across a Christmas latch hook kit but for the longest time I was worried that I wouldn't be able to remember how it was done so it sat in the box.
Finally a few years ago I decided to unpack it and give it a try, I have to say that I enjoyed it so much. It was lots and lots of fun. I am disappointed that there is still a lack of nice latch hook kits out there and that they are all incredibly expensive as I would love to do some more of them. If anyone knows where I can even get the base printed canvas and the wool lengths separately that would be wonderful.
Anyway here is the one I finished in all its glory. I still love it and have decided that I will try and get it finished off as a wall hanging this year so it can join our decorations.
