Soda Stitch - Harvest of Love Cross Stitch

Hey lovely readers. Hope you are all enjoying the season, looking forward to lots of relaxing and crafting. It has been a while since my last post, again, things have been so busy here. I am doing a night course and had an assignment due and of course there is also the Christmas rush to contend with. I am really looking forward to the holidays, I love getting to spend time with family and enjoy lazing around watching movies and eating chocolate.

Anyway to the crafting, I have something completely new to show you all today. Some of you will have heard about a cross stitch design company called Soda Stitch. I have only recently discovered them through an amazing WIP by Mii of Mii Stitch, if you haven’t seen Mii’s work check it out, she is fantastic. Anyway I asked her how easy the charts were to follow and she very kindly sent me an email assuring me that they were simple, so I recently decided to give them a go.

I popped on over to Sew & So and checked out their selection. Unfortunately for my wallet, they have a substantial collection of Soda Stitch charts and I couldn’t decided on one. So I bought 9 instead, opps. The delivery from Sew and So was incredibly fast, it was my first purchase from them, I was very impressed with their service. I couldn’t wait to make a start on one once I had them in my hands.

Next came the problem of deciding which one to start! I finally picked Harvest of Love and put in the first stitches, and I become completely hooked. These charts are so much fun. They are really clear and have listed DMC, Anchor and Yeidam (which I have never heard of). They are printed nice and big, so are very simple to follow and there are lots of sections of block stitching, so they stitch up very quickly. The back stitching looks fairly straight forward and I can’t wait to get some time on this over the holidays and maybe even get it finished.

  8. I love SODA stitch designs. When I went to Korea I bought a few. They are so cheap over there compared to here.

Isn't Sew&So fantastic? I used to order from them when the exchange rate was reasonable and the postage too and never had a problem!
Plans for the new year....stitch as often as possible...dabble in more knitting and crochet and quilt making...finally do the stumpwork course....i should say that the mere fact i mentioned the extrabits probably means it won't be happening :D
    Enjoy your relaxation time :)

  18. Nawwww they are really sweet. Soda Stitch charts completely overload the cuteness. I only have 4 of them so no where near your stash haul LOL! They are gorgeous and I love how they are so vibrant. I hope you had a lovely christmas with your family and lots of chocolate. Looking forward to seeing what you get up to next year too.

My stitching resolution is to stick to my rotation, no new start SAL's and to have 5 significant finishes. My life resolutions is to find the sparkle in everything :D
