QS Clara - update

So I said I wouldn't be updating Clara as often. My work on this one has really slowed down but Have gotten some of page 4 done. I have also been doing some work on Bridge of Wings but will update you on that one tomorrow.

Well I am still really enjoying Clara at the minute.

HAED - QS Clara 15hrs

However I was trying to do a little of the filling in on Oliana at the weekend and I still haven't quite found a system I am happy with. Normally on HAED charts I work in 10x10 block parking the threads as I go but with the black done already that method doesn't really seem to work for me. I will post when I find out what does.

I have been thinking a lot lately about all the things I want to do and how to manage to organise myself to do them. I find very often that all my spare time is taken up with stitching at the moment, which is nice but then I feel guilty that I haven't read the books I want to or that I haven't done the craft projects I have been meaning to do for ages. Anyone else have this problem, if so I would love to know if you have a system you use to get yourself organised. I find that when I do manage to get something else I have been wanting to do for a long time done, that I feel much better about things.

Have a great day :)

  1. I really am one of the most disorganized people out there, but I do have a couple of things I do. When I watch TV I stitch (or craft), and the last 1/2 hour before I sleep, read. Anyway that is how I try to keep my self sane.

  2. I am having a problem with balancing my stitching with my reading too. It feels like when I really get into one, I neglect the other. *sigh* I think reading before I go to bed is a good idea, I'm going to try it tonight :)

  3. I'm beginning to think I will need to strictly schedule my time. I have the feeling if I do that though I will be sick of it within a week.

  4. I love your stitching =) The outline is fantastic =)

I see a lot of people who rather go color-by-colors for some area when filling in the colors, so maybe you could try that

I read less than I want to, too. I try to read every day before going to sleep, one or two chapters and when I go somewhere by train I am taking a book with me.
I am currently taking part in a reading challenge, which pushes me forward with reading (2 books during the last month!), but since it is about getting new books and reading them, it doesn't make my book pile any smaller....
I lost my knitting track, too, partly because I can't find the pattern I want to work on anymore since I tidied up my room..............
I hope you can find a system for you that works =)
