I hope you will all enjoy this post. This is a recipe that I have used for the last few years to make a Tomato Chutney for Christmas presents. My family love this and I decided to make some more as most of them have managed to polish off the Christmas batch.
The before shot: Chutney Prep |
The after shot: Chutney made and in jars |
Also don't forget to sterilise your jars and lids before you put the Chutney in them. I also usually put a list of ingredients on a tag and tie it to the jar so that people know what in it in case there is anything they don't like. Please do let me know if you try this recipe and how you get on with it.
Enjoy!
I'm going to give this a try this weekend and I will then let you know! Thank you so much for sharing!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the recipe, I think we have to give this a shot. :)
ReplyDeleteI like th ingredients in this recipe.Thank you for adding a link:-)
ReplyDeleteLooke delicious!
ReplyDeleteNever made Chutney.
This is a great recipe as it is very simple. Just chop and dump it all in the pot for an hour or so.
DeletePTOT's big sister here to vouch for the pure deliciousness of this chutney. I get a precious jar each Christmas which doesn't last 2 days - the whole jar is gobbled for breakfast, lunch and dinner. So get those jar's sterilized and tomatoes chopped, because this recipe is well worth the effort.
ReplyDeleteI have never had Chutney - so I googled it. This is such a large diverse world, and I have so much to learn
