I firstly must apologise for being away from my blog for so long. I also haven't been keeping up with my blog reading as much as I would like. Anyway I do have something to show you all today. I have a piece that I have been working on for a while now but it doesn't get a huge amount of attention.
This was meant to be part of a gift but it still hasn't been finished yet. I gave the recipient a different gift at the time and have kept this a secret. I decided that it would be ok for my to show this piece here.

Wedding Silhouette - ETSY Los Angeles Needlework |
This is a chart I bought from a seller on ETSY called Los Angeles Needlework. I am stitching this on 18ct white Aida so that I wouldn't have to stitch the white background. It is mostly stitched in black with some grey oulining. I am hoping to added the names and date to it once it is finished.
I think it is turning out really well so far, though the black is fairly monotonous and the Aida isn't the nicest to work with, but I will persevere. Hopefully I won't be away from my blog again.
Lovely progress :)
ReplyDeleteWe all need a break sometimes :-) I love your new project, so sweet. I tried to find it on Etsy, but the closest I can find is some different silhouettes by New York Needlework.

Everyone takes breaks! It's hard to keep up with blogs sometimes. Your silhouettes look great though I agree that that much black can be tiring though they are good for "mindless" stitching so to speak. :D I'm sure the recipients will love it~
ReplyDeleteAgree, everyone needs a break. Beautiful work!
