First of the Seasonal Ladies - Celtic Spring Progress

Today I have a cross stitching update for you all, hurray. Blossoming Spring hasn't seen any more progress since my last post, however I do have something to show on another Spring themed project. Lavender and Lace Celtic Spring has had some stitches added to it since the last time you all saw it on here.

Last Celtic Spring post: Beating that New Start Itch.

I worked on this piece a few months ago but completely forgot to post it, so here it is today.

Lavender & Lace L&L Celtic Spring lady cross stitch work in progress WIP
L&L Celtic Spring
As many of you know this is the first of four seasonal ladies by Lavender & Lace, with a fifth lady called Celtic Christmas. I have the set of four and am hoping to add Celtic Christmas in the near future. I just adore the look of these projects and I am often torn between these and the Mirabilia Seasonal Queens, of which I have the chart for Autumn.

I am currently stitching this project on a piece of pale pink evenweave which, unfortunately doesn't come across in the photo. This is one of those projects which progresses a lot faster than I would expect, when I actually sit down and work on it that is. There are lots of nice block stitching sections and thankfully very little back stitching. I do the beading as I go, leaving the only time suck, the metallic thread, which isn't all that horrific either.

I pulled this project out for it's photo session and came to the wonderful realisation that I really wanted to sit down with this one today, so hopefully there will be a change in this by the time my next post comes around.

I have also been spending an obscene amount of time on Pinterest of late but have actually tried a project or two from my ever increasing board of craft projects I want to try. I am looking forward to getting to share some of them with you in the near future.

If you would like to check out my Pinterest boards, there is a follow me link on the top right of this blog.

    1. Thanks for your comment. I too really like the colours in this one particularly, the soft yellows and deep purples just work really well together.

    1. Thanks for your great comment. I do love the Celtic Christmas one, it was the first of these ladies I ever saw. Happily I did manage to add some more stitches to this piece and I plan to continue to work on this for the rest of the week.

  7. She's so pretty. I have the Christmas woman --- have had her for years and somehow I never start her. I think the beads used to daunt me, but now I've done so much beading that maybe this Christmas she will come out to play. And due to the passage of time, she'll be on much better fabric now!
