Last Celtic Spring post: Beating that New Start Itch.
I worked on this piece a few months ago but completely forgot to post it, so here it is today.
L&L Celtic Spring |
I am currently stitching this project on a piece of pale pink evenweave which, unfortunately doesn't come across in the photo. This is one of those projects which progresses a lot faster than I would expect, when I actually sit down and work on it that is. There are lots of nice block stitching sections and thankfully very little back stitching. I do the beading as I go, leaving the only time suck, the metallic thread, which isn't all that horrific either.
I pulled this project out for it's photo session and came to the wonderful realisation that I really wanted to sit down with this one today, so hopefully there will be a change in this by the time my next post comes around.
I have also been spending an obscene amount of time on Pinterest of late but have actually tried a project or two from my ever increasing board of craft projects I want to try. I am looking forward to getting to share some of them with you in the near future.
If you would like to check out my Pinterest boards, there is a follow me link on the top right of this blog.

ReplyDeleteShe looks so pretty. Love the colors:)
ReplyDeleteThanks for your comment. I too really like the colours in this one particularly, the soft yellows and deep purples just work really well together.
DeleteCeltic Spring looks so lovely, she's very inspiring! :-)
ReplyDeleteI love the Celtic Ladies (I've done Celtic Christmas) and especially the colours in this one. She's beautiful. I do hope you carry on stitching her for a while. Please! :)
ReplyDeleteThanks for your great comment. I do love the Celtic Christmas one, it was the first of these ladies I ever saw. Happily I did manage to add some more stitches to this piece and I plan to continue to work on this for the rest of the week.
DeleteLovely piece.
ReplyDeleteVery lovely and coming along nicely
ReplyDeleteThis is beautiful! I just adore Lavender and Lace charts. Mirabilia charts are gorgeous, too. I look forward to seeing your next update!
ReplyDeleteShe is looking gorgeous !!:)
ReplyDeleteShe's so pretty. I have the Christmas woman --- have had her for years and somehow I never start her. I think the beads used to daunt me, but now I've done so much beading that maybe this Christmas she will come out to play. And due to the passage of time, she'll be on much better fabric now!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous stitching! I've always loved this ladies - I might cave in and buy one of them at some point! :D
ReplyDeleteVery pretty! You made good progress with her.
ReplyDeleteHi - Just popped over from Justine's blog and have enjoyed having a read. Love your Lavender and Lace design. I have a few of these charts and hopefully one day I will eventually get around to stitching them. Joan at www.aviewtothefells.com
