I just have to.....

I have been missing from the last couple of Blog Hops so here I am again:

Some of us have a favorite chair that we sit in to stitch, others prefer to enjoy a steaming mug of tea while they stitch. Maybe you need to get comfortable and put on your pajamas before you pick up your needle or you simply must rearrange all the sofa pillows before you sit down. Sometimes the ritual is in the clean up when we're done and everything must go in a certain place. What sort of stitching rituals do you have when you sit down to work on your projects?

When I'm stitching I just have to have something on the TV or an audio book on in the background. However if it is TV it had to be something I have seen before and don't have to pay too much attention to.

I also love a nice hot cup off tea but I just love tea in general anyway. I also quite like to stitch when I'm out and about but again I usually have something on like music our an audio book.

My main ritual is, as I mentioned in a previous post, that after a stitch session at the end of the evening I prop my stitching on my bedside table either to admire it or to plan out what to so next.

  1. I like tea, too. I drink hot tea in the winter and iced tea in the summer.

  2. Like you, I always need some background noise while I am stitching. This is usually an audiobook or, when my boyfriend is here, tv or music =)
I love tea, too, I have about 30 different sorts of tea here ;-)

  3. I just LOVE that you take the time to admire your work! That is so cool!

  4. So many of us enjoy a good cup of tea or coffee with our stitching that I'm thinking about adding a brewed beverages section to Stitching the Night Away to review favorite drinks!

  5. I am a big tea drinker. I love a good cup of herbal tea in the evening while stitching.

  6. I do love both tea and coffee, however I have never drank either while stitching. I think this is because I am terrified that I would spill on my work. I do usually "watch" tv while stitching. I usually pick a show that I don't have to watch the television all the time. I had been hoping to sit outside on the patio, but it has been too hot here.

Would love to read any comments you would like to leave. Thanks for brightening my day :)
