Halloween Cravat

My OH needed a cravat for his Halloween costume and after searching for one just right, up until the day before, I said 'Why don't I make you one'. Now let me just say that I had never made one, had no idea how to make one or even have a pattern for one. We went and got some material, which is actually upholstery fabric but it was close to what he wanted, and I set about searching the internet for some instructions.

Anyway with a combination of some tips from the net and between my OH and myself we managed to cut out something that would do for a costume.

I then stitched it together and pressed it. I was a bit tricky because the fabric was so heavy. Everyone agreed that it looked really well on the night. It doesn't look too bad for a first attempt and the fact that I only had a couple of hours in which to do it.
