WOOHOO

Finally, after working on this on and off for the last 10 years she is done. I am so happy. Now she just needs to be washed, ironed and framed. I want to get this professionally framed so will need to see the cost and things.

Here she is:

Mirabilia - The Dreamer Completed

She is stitched on what I think is a 16ct light pink Aida fabric, I'm not too sure. Using all DMC thread and Mill Hill beads where necessary.

This was the first chart I attempted with beading but I think they look really beautiful. A total of 59,200 stitches.

Am so delighted to have her done. This is now one of my 2012 goals done. Yipee!

So excited

Ok I know I should really just wait until this is fully done but I'm just so excited and happy to be nearly there, I just had to share this with all of you.

The Dreamer by Mirabilia is almost finished. Just a little cluster of flowers and a small amount of back stitching left and she will be completed.

I figured out why I was having such a hard time with this one. I was getting stressed about finishing it. It was no longer about stitching but about getting it finished after all this time. I was getting so stressed about it that it sucked all the enjoyment out of stitching it, so yesterday I decided that I would just enjoy laying down the stitches and just not be concerned about getting it finished. What do you know I ended up getting more done in it.

So here she is, so close to the finish:

The picture of the completed piece will be better, I promise. I find it difficult to get a good photo of this as it is quite big and also my house doesn't get a huge amount of natural light.

Struggling

Ok guys I need some major external mojo here.
I am struggling so much keeping my interest in The Dreamer, every stitching is a chore but it has been a UFO for so long I have to stick with it and just finish it. However it us really hard to keep at it.
Ok rant over, back to stitching.

IHSW this weekend

Well the third weekend of the month has rolled around again and I had hoped to sequester myself away in my little room for the weekend and maybe, just maybe get The Dreamer finished once and for all.

Unfortunately it's not to be. It turns out I have a huge amount of college and career (such as it is) work to try and get done. Also a friend if mine is home from abroad so will be meeting him on Sunday. So will do my very best to get some hermitting in but can't make any promises.

Would be DELIGHTED if I could finish The Dreamer, finish my current mini project and maybe get page 4 outline of Oliana done. Those are my goals we will how many, if any I can complete.

IHSW February - The Dreamer Progress.

Ok so this was my very first IHSW. For all those who don't know what that is, and I didn't up until a few weeks ago, you can find out here at Random Ramblings blog. It gives all us crafters who have loads to do, the opportunity to relax and concentrate on stitching.

So here is the first goal finish of my new rotation. I have now finished the entire boarder piece on The Dreamer. I am delighted I have gotten this done. I think after another two rotations I should have this finished. I did the top piece then the bottom left. So here is is:

The next goal on my rotation is the page 1 of QS Fairy with Butterfly Mask, I have now started on this rotation goal. I am hoping to be able to continue being a part of the IHSW.

The Dreamer Progress

I have been getting some work done on Mirabilia The Dreamer. It is one of my 2012 goals to get this one done. I have just been working on the top piece of the boarder. I really hope I can get this one done this year. I like how this is starting to look.

I think the swirls are really pretty. Hopefully will get this boarder piece of the chart finished in the next few days.

Promises, promises

I know I said I would only work on The Dreamer until she was finished. Well that well laid plan went out the window.

I have been spending alot of time on buses lately and will do for the forseeable future. So I decided to start something portable so I could work on it during my bus journey.To that end I started, for the third time, HAED QS Fairy with Butterfly Mask.

She has really wonderful colours and I had tired starting her a couple of times before but had problems with fabric and stitch type. I am now a good way through the first page and will post a pic ASAP (hopefully after work today).

The Dreamer

Here is my progress on The Dreamer. I am going to concentrate on this one now until I finish it, as it has been going on a long time.

I love this design and it was my first with beading in it but it has taken me years to finish. I am hoping to get it completed in the next couple of months.
