Minuscule Autumn Update

Well here is a very tiny update on Autumn for this month. I know this is late and also not much to look at. I only managed a couple of lengths of brown this month and filled in a small bit of the book. I am hoping that at some point I will get a good amount of time to work on this piece.

Last month:

And here is this month:

I will make a big effort to get a bit done on this before the end of the month so that I will have something proper to show you all next month

IHSW late report

Well I decided to sign up for IHSW and I was really looking forward to hermitting. I had decided that the World outside could not exist for me for a couple of days and give myself some time to recharge my batteries.

So I settled in to do a couple of days stitching. However none of my current projects appealed to me as they all have a certain amount of pressure attached to them. I decided that for this weekend I would treat myself with a smallish project, trying not to start another big project but give myself a break from my current WIP's

Here is what I decided on:

I absolutely love blossom trees, I always have and dream of having them in my own garden one day. This piece is from The Ultimate Forest Friends Cross Stitch Collection I managed to get my hands on a few months ago.

Alas even this did not cure my lack of stitching bug and I only managed a small amount on it over the whole weekend. After a little while I just had to give up on the idea of stitching and decided to read my book instead.

So here is my unsuccessful IHSW:

Blossoming Spring - The Ultimate Forest Friends Collection - Sheila Hudson
I also have absolutely no progress on Autumn this month, which is why there hasn't been a post on it. I will do my best to get an update on Autumn next month.

Autumn SAL time

Well it's that time again, Autumn SAL. I didn't get as much as I would have liked to on this piece. I really wanted to get this page done but I haven't managed it for a few different reasons.

Here is where Autumn was last month:

June SFS

I, like many others, can not believe it is the end of June already! This month really did just seem to fly past. Hope everyone is enjoying whichever season you are currently in :)

Anyway onto the interesting stuff. It is Stitch From Stash time again, the explanation for this is really all in the name but if you want to know more just head over to Epic Stitching.

So how did I do in SFS this month:

Amount Spent: $0.00
New Starts from Stash: Somebunny to Love - The World of Cross Stitching Issue 179
WIPs or UFOs worked on: Dimensions Gold Elegance of the Orient, HAED QS Clara & HAED Autumn.
I did purchase a RAK for another stitcher and I am not sure if that counts toward my budget. If anyone knows, could they tell me and I can add it into next months budget instead, if that is ok with everyone. It was under the $25 limit.
Some piccies:

I also did a couple of finishes, which I will add piccies of here as well, although they have already appeared on my blog.

June Autumn Update

I'm actually quite happy with how I managed on this one this month. I got page two finished and also made some progress on the page below.

Here is where I was last month:

 Here I am now:

I really hope I can finish this page this month and move on to another. I don't have my dress progress for you today. Hopefully I will get some done this week and I will post then :)

May SFS Report

It's that time again, my Stitch from Stash report. I worked on a few pieces this month, including managing to finish Majestic Peacock. However I have already posted pics of this piece so I won't post them again. If you would like to see Majestic Peacock in all its glory have a look under my finishes tab at the top or at my YOTA post for this month.

So how did I do in SFS this month:

Amount Spent: $11.80
New Starts from Stash: None
WIPs or UFOs worked on: Dimensions Gold Majestic Peacock, Dimensions Gold Elegance of the Orient, HAED QS Clara & HAED Autumn.
Some piccies:
Dimensions Gold - Elegance of the Orient

HAED - Autumn

HAED - QS Clara
My promise at the start of the year was that I would work on two large projects from my WIP's and one mini project. Well I did manage to work away on Autumn and actually managed a page finish, which I am so happy about but it is swiftly becoming apparent that Autumn will be a long slog. It is a huge chart and quite challenging. I missed working on another HAED chart so I pulled out Clara for a little while and finished up the feather in her hat. I want to try and get the last of this top row of pages done as there is very little left in them to do.

Now to show what I spent my money on this month. I have been looking for this for ages and just by chance came across it the other week, it was the last one in the store so I snapped it up!

Stash

Hope everyone had a good SFS this month :)

Another Game of Spot the Difference

On my last Autumn SAL post some of my lovely readers joked that it was like playing a game of spot the difference. This made me giggle and unfortunately I don't have a lot to show again this month so you all get to play again. I didn't get much done on this as I was very busy the last couple of weeks.

I did manage to get some more filled in on the large branch on page 2 and got a few lengths of the brown on page 19 which is the third page down on the left.

Here is where I was last month:

This is my progress this month:

I would really like to make some really good progress on this piece this month so hopefully I will at least have page 2 finished and maybe some other work done as well.

Do check out my SAL partner Gwen, HERE, to see some stunning progress on this chart.

Stitch from Stash April

It's Stitch from Stash time again being held by Mel over at Epic Stitching. Unfortunately this month I don't have a zero spend. I bought the first of the New Age Cross Stitch Digital Magazine so my spend this month was $4.99. Still I think that was pretty good. In the interest of full disclosure though I will admit that I stashed in a few of my other crafts, I bought some stuffing for finishes, a set of crochet hooks and some House Mouse unmounted stamps.

Here is how I did:

Amount Spent: $4.99
New Starts from Stash: None
WIPs or UFOs worked on: Dimensions Gold Majestic Peacock & HAED Autumn.
Some piccies:

As some of you will already know I am waiting for replacement thread to finish Peacock. However this month I haven't been doing much stitching. I have completed a few finishes. Here are the piccies:

I have mostly been knitting and learning how to spin yarn with a drop spindle. I will post my progress on those in my next update.

Not Much of an Autumn Update

I haven't been doing much stitching. I did plan on doing more on this piece over the last few days but I had some others things I  wanted to finish up so I have only a couple of lengths of progress on this.

Anyway here is last months:

Here is my pitiful update for this month:

However I have been working on some other things, which I have some piccies of for you all. I did another of the little bird ornaments but this time in the size the first one should have been.

Here it is with the first one I finished which you can see is much smaller

I also finished off my little owl bookmark as a pillow. I decided to make a removable stuffed insert so that it can be taken out of the pillow cover in case the cover needed to be cleaned for any reason.

March Autumn SAL

It's the 15th and my regular readers will know that means it's time for an update on Autumn. I didn't do as well as I had hoped this month but then this month has been beyond crazy here. I was hoping I might get the page I am working on finished but that didn't happen but I did make some progress.

Last month:

HAED - Autumn - as at 15th Feb 2014
And here I am this month:

HAED - Autumn - as at 15th March 2014
I couldn't seem to manage a good photo of this one, it kept coming out a little blurred. Please take a look at my SAL partner on this over at Spices up Your Life!

Hope you enjoyed this month's post on Autumn, I am hoping I will be back with more regular updates in the very near future.

Stitch From Stash Feb 2014

Stitch from Stash is being held by Mel over at Epic Stitching. This month she did allow us to have an additional $100 spend because of the Nashville Needle Market. However despite this temptation I managed a $0 spend again this month. I'm delighted with my work this month.

Here is how I did:

Amount Spent: $0

WIPs or UFOs worked on: Dimensions Gold Majestic Peacock, HAED Autumn & Joan Elliott Mini from The Ultimate Joan Elliott Collection.
So here are my pictures of how I did. I managed to get 4 mini finishes this month, which I'm so happy with.
